Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress, best recognized for her performances as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. After her parents' divorce her parents separated, she moved to Worthington in Ohio and moved with her family in Los Angeles. She landed her debut role as Rachel's Room's title character, in 2001 despite struggling with finances. Her portrayal in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television film Murder in Greenwich in 2002, earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the main actress on Lost in its two initial seasons. In 2004 she received the Screen Actors Guild Award with all of the ensemble. Grace has worked with Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, decided to make the move to film. In 2007, she was as a character in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and, opposite Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. She reprised this role in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). In addition, she played Alice on Malice in Wonderland which is an updated version of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost and the final episode. The actress was featured in 2013's seventh season Californication. She is Faith as a girl who serves as a model for the stars, and draws the eye from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). A member of the Gyllenhaal clan She is the daughter of film makers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs as well as the elder sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began when she was a teenager, playing small roles in several of his films. She also appeared together with her brother in cult favorite Donnie Darko (2001). Her next appearance was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received nominations for an Golden Globe Award in both the action drama Sherrybaby (2005) as well as the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). Both films were critically acclaimed. In 2006, she starred in several films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. The film was awarded Best Screenplay at The Venice International Film Festival, and was also nominated for the Academy Award.
