Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the hit song from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. His debut album ADN was released through La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. In the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached No. 8. Vaina Loca, which was one of the Top Five smash hit in 2010 featured him along with Ozuna. Mala Influencia is which was released in the year 2020, by Noriel and her Dopamina album that year. In 2021, he appeared as a duo with TINI on her most streamed single Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was a member of the musical home of his family. Both his younger brother and his mother are both musicians. In interviews, Turizo has stated that music is essential. As a child, he was taught to play the piano, guitar and ukulele. Despite initially wanting to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban music teacher could change the direction of his career.
